On Oct. 2, 20 youths and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters had an awesome day at the Kroschel Wildlife Center, courtesy of Steve Kroschel and the American Bald Eagle Foundation’s (ABEF) Flight for Freedom fund. Transportation was provided courtesy of Alaska Nature Tours.
We enjoyed a cool, rain-soaked autumn adventure, but not one person required a warm-up during the action-packed two hours with northern America’s amazing wildlife. Start to finish, Steve and Mario Benassi were a skilled, passionate and funny tag-team.
Big Brothers Big Sisters offers a group activity in most months, and these outings and projects usually cost us little or nothing, but October was an exception. Steve’s below-market price and the generous gift from the ABEF made it possible. Thank you all so much.
You can make a difference in a child’s life and it’s not hard. We do need more fun, stable men and women to help kids expand their horizons. Call us at 766-2151.
