Buckminster Fuller said, “Never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a model that makes the existing model obsolete.”
Haines needs a new model, the creation of new job opportunities, not new ordinances to stifle the creative and original ideas of its citizens. As Bob Dylan wrote, “Come writers and critics who prophesize with the pen, and keep your eyes wide, the chance won’t come again. And don’t speak too soon for the wheel’s still in spin. And there’s no tellin’ who that it’s namin’. For the loser now will be later to win, for the times they are a-changing.”
