My relationship with the Haines community started in 1979 when I first transferred to 42 Mile border station to work as a customs inspector. I came and went twice and in 1985 I returned with my family as a superintendent in charge. My family and I were always well received in Haines and we were able to make many life-long friends.
My children will always be connected to this community also as they grew up…
