I am writing this letter in support for Karen Hess for Seat E, write-in candidate for the Borough Assembly. I have known Karen for may years and shared many ups and downs. Through all of that I know her to have this community foremost in her heart and her decisions, whether it be work or play. She and many others have made our chain saw shop part of the domino effect from the tourism season. She purchases locally and constantly promotes “buying local” to all the people she comes in contact with. I know her to work hard and she will work for this community. She is approachable and will listen to our concerns. She firmly believes in bringing a working balance back to the assembly.
Please, on Oct. 5, exercise your right. Haines needs your vote to bring some vitality back to this community in the way of economy. Please vote for Karen Hess, Seat E, write-in-candidate for Haines Borough Assembly.
Pete and I will be voting absentee from Seattle. What is your excuse? Get out and vote.
