I went up to my mining claims recently and found my snowmachine trailer missing, among other items. It is a two-snowmachine trailer with a broken, passenger-side spring. Whoever stole it has a truck with dualies because they got stuck at one point and tore up my road getting out, leaving dualie tracks behind.
This is the fourth time I’ve been robbed since my husband died five years ago. I know I’m not the only person in this valley with this problem.
Every year I hear about wood stolen out of my friends’ yards, from men and women who spent their summers not only working at a job but coming home to buck, split and stack wood for the winter.
I would like to know what measures you have taken to keep these outlaws out of your property. Most of you know who I am. Please feel free to discuss your solution with me. I would appreciate your input.
I work as hard as you do to keep my family warm and fed. Let us work together as a community of like-minded people fed up with this behavior. Thieves like to live in the dark.
Perhaps all stolen property should be posted in town for everyone to see.
To the man who owns the big truck with dualies, the people who used your truck to commit a crime against me are not your friends. Friends don’t treat each other like that.
