Revenues were up 12 percent at the Southeast Alaska State Fair this year, including a 10 percent increase in gate revenues, manager Kelly Hostetler reported during the organization’s annual membership meeting Saturday.

Fair admissions increased to $71,109 from $64,536 in 2009 and $29,938 in 2008, Hostetler reported.

Events held at the grounds during the past year include a community Christmas party, Winter Olympics, Spring Fling, Beer Fest, community salmon barbecue, six farmer’s markets, community garden…
