A big thank you goes out to all the individuals, organizations, and businesses who helped celebrate the Centennial of Haines’ incorporation with banners around town, a longer Fourth of July parade and additional activities in Tlingit Park, along with a more spectacular fireworks display, historical photograph displays, a fun community picnic and photo shoot, and general enthusiasm. It would fill a page to name all of those who had great ideas, helped organize, did the work, donated or made available for purchase food and other items for the picnic, approved public space for the photo displays, stepped in when the need was apparent, and approved the funds. Congratulations to all of us.
