Haines Friends of Recycling volunteers held a roof raising for the scrapbox at HFR on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Frank Holmes oversaw Terry Jacobson, Dana VanBurgh, Dan Chavez and Chuck Pridham as they placed trusses on the roof. Offering gently-used construction materials and other sundry items, the scrapbox is open during staff hours Thursday through Friday 9 a.m. to 12 pm. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
