Tuesday, January 9

A citizen reported a violation to a rental agreement on Union Street. The person was referred to court.

A 36-year-old man of Allen Road was arrested for criminal trespass, a protective order violation and probation revocation. Alcohol and domestic violence were involved.

A caller reported a broken window at the Babbling Book bookstore on Main Street. Police officers and the business owner responded.

Haines Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a possible fire on Main Street.

Police conducted a welfare check on a person on Young Road.

Police received a report of a possible intoxicated driver on Mathias Avenue.

Wednesday, January 10

A 29-year-old man of Small Tracts Road was arrested for domestic assault and transported to Haines jail.

A message was relayed to a Union Street business reported to have malfunctioning telephones.

Police received a warrant to serve on a 40-year-old man of Main Street.

A citizen reported a violation of a protective order.

Police assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle near 1 Mile Haines Highway.

Thursday, January 11

The fire department investigated a possible carbon monoxide leak near 1 Mile Haines Highway.

Police relayed a message to the Alaska State Troopers on an issue regarding Chilkat Avenue.

An officer assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle near 1 Mile Haines Highway.

An officer made contact with two suspicious people on Sawmill Road.

Police conducted a security check of a Main Street building.

Friday, January 12

Police transported a person from Allen Road.

A caller requested assistance in asking a vehicle owner to move their vehicle on Dalton Street.

Police served a 31-year-old man with a 20-day domestic violence protective order.

A caller on Mud Bay Road reported receiving a fraudulent telephone call.

An officer made contact with a suspicious person on Gruening Avenue.

Police received confidential information regarding drug activity in Haines.

Sunday, January 14

A caller reported a vehicle slid off the road at Letnikoff Cove.

A caller reported an overflowing ditch on Small Tracts Road. The information was relayed to the state Department of Transportation.

A water/sewer alarm was activated near 1 Mile Haines Highway. The message was relayed to the water/sewer department.

An officer assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle at 1 Mile Lutak Road.

A caller reported an overflowing ditch on Comstock Road. The message was relayed to the state Department of Transportation.

A caller reported smelling fuel on Young Road.

A welfare check was conducted on Young Road on a person threatening suicide. Lynn Canal Counseling assisted. Weapons were involved.

A welfare check was conducted on Battle Road on a person with a medic alert activation.

Monday, January 15

A caller reported smelling fuel on Muncaster Drive. The caller was advised that cleanup was initiated.

There were four traffic stops, two 911 hang-ups, 12 medical calls and one canine call.
