Tuesday, June 6

A report of an injured eagle at 34 Mile Haines Highway was referred to the American Bald Eagle Foundation.

A citizen reported permitted signs were removed on Beach Road. The signs were returned and put back up.

A citizen reported being harassed on Small Tracts Road. The person was referred to court for a protective order.

Wednesday, June 7

Officers were unable to locate a flat bottom boat at the fairgrounds that was reported as found property.

Police and Haines Volunteer Fire Department responded to a death on Beach Road.

A telephone trace was initiated after a citizen reported receiving harassing telephone calls.

A caller reported a domestic argument on Portage Street. Officers responded and issued a warning to the involved parties.

Thursday, June 8

A citizen reported a motorcycle trailer was stolen from Front Street. An investigation was started.

A citizen of Tower Road reported receiving a fraudulent telephone call regarding her computer being hacked.

A controlled burn was reported on Mud Bay Road.

A caller reported a loud party at a residence on Sawmill Road. Officers advised the partiers to contain the noise level. Alcohol was involved.

A caller sought help removing an intoxicated person from their residence on Sawmill Road. Officers responded and transported the person from the residence.

Friday, June 9

A caller reported horses loose at 3 Mile Haines Highway. The owner was contacted and secured them.

A caller reported a vehicle parked long-term in a private parking lot at the ferry terminal.

A caller reported receiving a harassing telephone call.

A caller requested a stop sign replace the yield sign at the intersection of Main Street and Front Street.

A caller reported a possible drunk driver. Officer responded and located the vehicle parked at the owner’s residence.

Saturday, June 10

A caller reported very loud patrons at a Main Street business. A message was relayed to the business responsible. Alcohol was involved.

A caller reported losing binoculars at 26 Mile Haines Highway.

A caller reported a vehicle speeding on FAA Road. Officers were advised.

Multiple callers reported a possibly intoxicated driver at 10 Mile Haines Highway. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

A caller reported a possible intoxicated driver on Main Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Police documented a person on probation has permitted travel to Haines.

A Second Avenue business reported an unruly customer.

A caller reported a former coworker is slandering them. The caller was referred to court to obtain a protective order if they felt it was necessary.

An investigation continues into a report of a stolen cell phone on Mud Bay Road.

Monday, June 12

Police investigated a report of a possibly intoxicated driver near the ferry terminal. The driver was located and issued a verbal warning. The driver was not impaired.

A rental car agency requested assistance in locating a vehicle that was not paid for. The vehicle was located.

A citizen reported a lost pink zipper bag.

A business reported tenants of a Main Street space weren’t paying rent. The tenants were escorted to another location.

There were two traffic stops, five medical calls and two canine calls.
