Haines borough police said Friday that another explosive device was found in the upper Chilkat Valley.

That prompted them to again call on Juneau police and Federal Bureau of Investigation for qualified bomb technicians. Then the group destroyed it in a controlled detonation on Friday.

This is the second explosive found near the Klehini River, but based on the information they have now, local Sergeant Maxwell Jusi said they don't believe there's an ongoing threat.
