Tuesday, July 11

A caller reported an abandoned vehicle in a public parking lot on Second Avenue.

A caller reported a noise disturbance on First Avenue. Officers responded and made contact with the source.

Wednesday, July 12

A caller reported a neighbor harassing people on Dalton Street.

A caller reported heavy equipment speeding on Tower Road.

An investigation began into theft of fuel at Porcupine Creek.

A caller reported a suspicious man walking at 40 Mile Haines Highway.

A citizen reported non-permitted vehicles parking in the handicapped zone at Lookout Park. A citation was issued.

A citizen reported a neighbor harassing them on Chilkat Lake Road.

A caller reported underage smokers on Third Avenue. Officers made contact and the people were of age.

Officers made contact with individuals burning garbage on Chilkat Road.

An officer made contact with a motorist who appeared to need assistance on Third Avenue.

An officer provided transportation to two people on Third Avenue.

Thursday, July 13

A citizen reported a black bear on Sunshine Street.

A bicycle found at the small boat harbor was returned to the owner.

An officer assisted a motorist on Mud Bay Road.

A citizen reported an altercation with a neighbor on Second Avenue. An officer spoke with the people involved. Alcohol was involved.

A caller reported fireworks on Beach Road.

Friday, July 14

A caller reported a bear on Sunshine Street.

A minor vehicle accident was reported on Portage Street. Drivers exchanged insurance information.

A caller reported vandalism to an art display on Fort Seward Drive. The area was posted for extra patrols.

A caller reported a vehicle parked partially in the roadway at 6.5 Mile Mud Bay Road.

A caller requested documentation of difficulties with an alarm on Main Street.

Saturday, July 15

A caller reported a possible drunk driver at 33 Mile Haines Highway. Officers were unable to locate the driver.

An officer assisted a motorist on Major Road.

Sunday, July 16

A citizen reported patrons of a Main Street business were excessively loud. The business responsible was advised. Alcohol was involved.

A citizen reported a vehicle parked partially in the roadway at 6 Mile Mud Bay Road.

A tablet found on Lutak Road was returned to the owner.

Monday, July 17

A caller reported seeing a pedestrian walking with a shotgun at 4 Mile Haines Highway.

A caller reported hearing gunshots on Beach Road. The sounds were determined to be fireworks.

There were five traffic stops, 14 911 hang-ups, 11 medical calls and two canine calls.
