Canadians should pay more to fish here

It costs $24 for a sportfish license to fish for halibut, king salmon and sockeye and even to drop a shrimp or crab pot, too. Yukon Canadians pay the same as residents. Plus, they can drop their pots next to yours. There’s no difference in the cost of shrimp, crab, halibut or salmon? All this for $20? Yukoners should not be permitted to have shrimp or crab pots along with fishing rights, but should pay the going rate for shrimp or crab like $75 for pots per day. It would keep a lot of problems from developing.
