Mystery of Sunken Barge Solved

The photo, shot by resident Patricia Peters, shows a 140-foot barge as it was being pulled to shore by bulldozers in August 1976. The barge, which had been supporting a crane, was resurfaced. A 200-foot fill barge tied to it sank and is believed to be the one spotted in a sonar image last week. For the full story, see this week's online edition of the Chilkat Valley News.
