Technology grant available

Chilkat Valley Community Foundation has added a new grant for qualified non-profits and government bodies.

The “mini-tech” grant of $600 is available to organizations that incorporate technology into their project. The grant was conceived and sponsored by Warren Johnson of Kingfisher Consulting.

“People can be creative with their tech projects,” said foundation president Ann Myren. “I see it as a chance for groups to get new equipment or training, but it could also be a great idea they’d like to try. ”

Only on-line applications may be submitted. The deadline is 9 p.m. on Sept. 30.

No matching fund component is required, but leveraging of funds and collaboration are encouraged. CVCF is in its fourth year of grant making. Applications may be found online at Call 766-6868 for more information.
