Russian billionaire docks in Portage Cove

The yacht Luna anchored in Portage Cove Tuesday. Owned by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, the 377-foot vessel is the world’s largest expedition yacht, according to superyachts.com. It was built at a cost of $115 million in 2010 and features a swimming pool and two helicopter pads. Abramovich and guests took a walking tour of Haines, purchasing Debbie Knight Kennedy jewelry and ordering an ermine hat from Alaska Indian Arts. Photo by Dick Flegel.
