Check out school's bouldering wall

On behalf of Chilkat Valley Preschool, I would like to thank the following individuals and groups for their help in constructing the new bouldering wall on the preschool playground: the Alaska Mountain Guides, particularly Jason Gaffney and Zach Tarleton, for their valuable in-kind consultation on wall design and hold selection; Joe Bryant, for his donation of some extra fun climbing holds; Chip Lende and the entire staff at Lutak Lumber for their patience and generosity with our many supply requests; the White family, for researching design options; and Adam Quick, Reuben Loewen, Nick Damner, Manuel Rogers, Chris Kemp, and Chandler Kemp for volunteering their time and expertise on the final design and construction of the wall. Lastly, I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation for funding the material costs of this project.

Chilkat Valley Preschool is a private non-profit center offering play-based learning opportunities for all children between the ages of three and five. The playground is also open to the public outside of school hours, so if your small children are starting to climb the walls this summer, I would encourage you to check out this great addition to CVP’s play space!
