HARK grant bought animal books

The Haines Animal Rescue Kennel (HARK) would like to thank the Chilkat Valley Community Foundation (CVCF) for their recent grant. Their $250 matching grant allowed us to donate materials to the Haines Borough Public Library (HBPL). With this grant we were able to give the library over 30 different animal-related resources including pet training DVDs, animal behavior books, puppy training playing cards and pet care books for children. Due to the support of the CVCF, the public library now has the latest materials relating to pet care, training and behavior for readers of all ages. Haines has many organizations that support the needs of our community. It was an honor to be part of this chain of organizations (CVCF – HARK - HBPL) and help provide needed materials for our community’s pet owners. Thank you CVCF – keep up the good work!
