Monday, Oct. 24

A caller reported a minor accident after one vehicle backed into another at Second Avenue and Main Street.

A caller reported a loud, explosive sound in the Fourth Avenue area. An officer responded and did not locate the source of noise.

Sunday, Oct. 23

A caller reported hearing two gunshots off Second Avenue. An officer responded and did not locate the source.

A caller reported a civil matter over dissolution of property and was advised how to deal with the issue.

A caller reported a noise ordinance violation due to someone using a hammer late at night in the Young Road area.

Saturday, Oct. 22

 

An officer walked through a downtown bar on request to calm a rowdy crowd.

Friday, Oct. 21

A caller reported someone had dumped a box of household trash at Tlingit Park.

A caller reported a possible break-in at a storage shed on the west edge of town.

Thursday, Oct. 20

An officer assisted in transporting a mental health patient to Juneau.

A caller requested assistance removing their belongings from a former partner’s house.

A caller requested a police presence for a belligerent person at the Haines clinic.

A caller reported people wrestling in a downtown parking lot. An officer responded. Police said the group was "goofing off," not fighting.

Wednesday, Oct. 19

A person reported a woman making suicidal threats in the Young Road area. Police responded and talked to the woman, who then went to bed.

A caller reported a loud group of people behind a downtown motel.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

A caller reported a large pothole on Second Avenue.

A caller reported a truck in the river at 6 Mile Haines Highway. Police and troopers were aware of the vehicle.

There were 19 medical calls and no calls about dogs.
