Film festival set for Nov. 10
A festival of wild and scenic films will be held Thursday, Nov. 10 at Harriett Hall.
The event, sponsored by the Takshanuk Watershed Council and Southeast Alaska State Fair, will be South Yuba River Citizens League’s 9th Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival.
The festival combines "stellar filmmaking, beautiful cinematography, and first-rate storytelling to inform, inspire and ignite solutions to restore the earth and human communities," according to its website.
The site says the festival features "award-winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, agriculture, Native American and indigenous cultures."
Dinner is included in the $12 advance ticket price. Tickets at the door are $15 and $40 for families.
