Conditions on the 245-kilometer route between Haines Junction, Y.T. and Haines are favoring a smooth race and mild weather.
"Everybody says the road is dry," said local organizer Judy Ewald. "No construction we know of."
The National Weather Service is forecasting cloudy skies and a high of 66 degrees on Saturday.
